In a 10 minute live performance drawing, using charcoal on paper, Chloé Julia Smith worked to respond to a 5rhythm wave exploring internal processing, in relation to external automatic expression, through physical movement and mark making, to translate their inner most sensations and impulses into the space. They performed in real time to an original soundtrack created with the help of Alex Wood and April Curd, combining their own previously recorded mark making with a backing track of rhythms and singing by Lauren Chapman and Rowan Pritchard.
The audience was invited to listen to the sounds of the marks made live on the opening night while observing them in closer detail.
